Each year employees of all Sioux Nation Holdings
subsidiaries are encouraged to participate in an in-house contribution
program. Employees electing to participate in the program agree to
have $10 deducted from their pay each month. Sioux Nation Holdings,
Inc. then matches employees’ contributions dollar for dollar.
In December employees are invited to nominate
worthy organizations to receive a portion of the funds set aside
throughout the year. Once nominations are received, an in-house
committee makes the final selections, and the awards are presented in
January.
Sioux Nation of Danbury nominated Danbury Fire Department for this
program, and last week they were happy to announce that the fire
department was one of nine awardees and would receive $1,000.
The Danbury Fire Department would to take this
opportunity to thank Sioux Nation and their employees, especially
Steve Flammang and Tracey Maynard for taking the time not only to
contribute to this program, but to take the time to nominate our
department. We would like to let everyone know that this money
will be used for the purchase of the new pumper.
